Jampacked?

Lately I've learned to love iCal. I tend to have a lot of stuff going on outside of my normal work and school, so having some form of organization is proving invaluable haha. I finally got enough money coming in to afford taking a few days off work and traveling to Long Beach to visit Katie, like I promised. I had to check my calendar because I remembered having a lot of things tying up my weekends. Sure enough, aside from this weekend and the weekend before Halloween I am fully booked until mid November!

We have CHUG coming up in October 20th and 21st. For those who don't know what CHUG is it's a large ultimate frisbee tournament in Chico. We had our first practice this last Saturday in preparation for the tournament. We have a lot of work ahead of us, the teams that will be there are incredibly good. The weekend before that I am signing up for a 3 day Lindy Hop workshop in Chico. I've learned to love Lindy Hop more so than any other dance I've done so far. Meringue and EC Swing are both fun, as is Waltz, but Lindy is so much more energetic and fun with your partner!

Speaking of dancing, we had a 3 hour dance following a Meringue lesson on Sunday. It was so much fun I can't describe it. We danced to Salsa, Meringue, Argentine Tango, Samba, East and West Coast Swing, Lindy, Waltz, Cha Cha, and probably some others I can't remember. Our dance instructor actually asked me if I would be willing to dance in their Showcase in May! It's amazing to think of my first lesson at the beginning of Summer, I could barely follow the foot steps. Now I'm being asked to represent the school. I'll keep people posted on dance dates if anyone wants to come out and dance it up.
